I'd been hearing quite a bit about Pinterest, but like I'm sure many others do I thought "surely I don't have time for yet ANOTHER online time suck." I mean, I'm a mother of two kids under 4. I can barely keep the house clean between work and spending quality time with the kids and hubs - when would I find time for crafting? My scrapbooking supplies have been stashed away for years along with a half-knitted scarf and other cast aside crafting efforts, why would this be any different.
Curiosity got the best of me and let me tell you, I was instantly hooked. As I perused countless delicious looking food pins my stomach began to rumble. Next I moved onto ideas for things to do with the kids and secure my place as Mom of the Year. What's this? DIY t-shirt scarves? I can TOTALLY do this! And thus my addiction began.
I took my time pinning here and there, finding a few minutes here and there to browse the Popular section. My first attempts at duplicating any pins were just in time for our annual summer party and the little dude's first birthday. Here are the original "Pinspirations":
